Ralph Lauren is under some scrutiny for manufacturing its U.S. Olympics uniforms in China. According to USA Today, Sen. Bernie Sanders said foreign-made uniforms are unpatriotic. But according to the New York Times, uniforms have been made overseas or in Canada for more than a decade. Lauren, however, pledges to make 2014 uniforms in the USA. (NY Times)
Is the cosmetic industry trying to tap women’s nostalgia, or are they desperately appealing to younger audience with its recent launch from MAC Cosmetics with Archie Comics and Sephora with Disney? - As if Virgin America flight attendants aren’t chic enough, Banana Republic has designed uniforms for the airline’s 2000 teammates, pilots, and in-flight cabin crew according to press release.
